EarthShipOne is working with the engineering departments at several leading universities in the UK to solve the challenges involved in designing an aircraft that can achieve flight over very long distances
with zero emissions.

These universities will be working on the EarthShipOne Design Challenge from September 2008 and delivering their proposals in June 2009 at an invite-only presentation event to be held at the Royal Aeronautical Society in London.
